For a number of years, the Jesuit Network, through its institutions and NGOs, has been implementing a joint national initiative infavour of children, adolescents and youth in situation of vulnerability. This work is being done in seven districts of the country: Piura, Lambayeque, Lima, Ayacucho, Cozco, Moquegua and Tacna, though seven institution belonging to or being fostered by the Company of Jesus Peru.

This project seeks to promote the integral formation of organized sport in boys and girls, adolescents and youth in situation of risk. It will support social reintegration of these youth, particularly members of gangs in some parts of the country, giving them opportunities to engage in activities that will develop their skills through sport, art and culture. it will also endeavour to provide them with psychological support to help them be reintegrated in society. This is an integral proposal, since it will cater for infra-structures, training and activities. Formation of trainers will ensure the self-sustainability of the program.
