BRIEF SUMMARY: This project helped to build the Rubén Darío Center, which focuses on teaching baseball and softball to local youth. The Center’s infrastructure and sufficient sport equipment –donated by Major League Baseball – provides a place for youth to be trained and take part in competitions. The project has been the departure point for a number of sports competitions between different schools and educational centers in the area. Sport and Cooperation Network met with MLB Directors in NYC to propose and secure all equipment donations and later in the follow up delivery and ongoing communication with the local counterpart, the Rubén Darío Center directors.
