BRIEF SUMMARY: This project supported the rehabilitation of sanitation infrastructures in the communities of Bauya and Segbwema. We also actively took part in the psycho-social rehabilitation of the war-affected youth in a moment in which the conflict had just concluded. We supported the development of the popular courts, which do not have a role of passing sentence, but reveal atrocities committed for trauma healing for those affected. Sport activities, together with traditional dances and group dynamics, played an important role in bringing about an atmosphere that favors a reconciliation process. This project received invaluable help from the German Agency for Technical Cooperation and the Xaverian missionary Chema Caballero.
