BRIEF SUMMARY: Our aim is to build a sustainable infrastructure to provide integral education in Ennerdale, one of Johannesburg’s poorest townships. Its main component is the building of a youth center that will include a large multipurpose hall that will serve to provide academic enhancement. Among the top priorities of this project is HIV/AIDS prevention and gender equality awareness; South Africa is one of the countries with a highest percentage of HIV infection. Sport Network will provide for the development of a facility for playing soccer, basketball and volleyball. We will also organize groups of leaders for HIV prevention through sport; other sports activities will serve to temper the rampant violence and criminality that thrives in the area.
