After a careful preparation of many months by Red Deporte, our dream became true, at last. Since June 20 twelve boys and girls from different Spanish schools who took part in a competition known as Conectando Africa are in South Africa. There they live together with some youngsters who hail from some of Johannesburg's poorest townships. For the last two years Red Deporte has been supporting an educational project in our of them known as Ennerdale, in partnership with the Salesians. During this time they have also been visiting some of the country's more emblematic sites like Soweto, the apartheid museum and Mandela's home. This experience has been made possible thanks to the support of Sony, Play Station, plus Madrid and Valencia regional governments. The youth have presented their experiences in http://conectandoafrica.blogspot.com. it is well worth reading.
